Nice place, nice ambience... but honestly our joint verdict - will not be back.. Don't get me wrong. Look at the presentation. It's awesome. Love the 3 tiers display of scones, finger sandwiches and cakes. Yummy too. But that's it.. The buffet is basically your local fares. Fried carrot cake, tim sum, popiah, porridge, fruits, tau suan, bean curd etc. .your local hawker fares but done the hotel's way- lacking in flavour. And for that price, I think you definitely get a better deal in Foster. Its 3x the price of Foster ($10++).. Of course presentation not as classy but hey u still have the scones! Plus I still kind of prefer high tea served by a sofa seating; more cosy versus table seating. So luckily this time around we got a $100 voucher to offset.

I hope.. hahhaa Meanwhile I am trying very hard to concentrate on my Bazi analysis. Study! Is so easy to get distracted. Look I am now blogging. A while ago I was "farming" @ Farmville and clearing weeds @ Barn Buddy. Sigh... must get back to my studying!!!!!!!!!!! Oh wait, forgot to mention. Something else to look forward to tonight. Braised Duck. Will be cooking that later. After my delayed breakfast/brunch, almost lunch maybe teabreak. Even got a bottle of white chilling in the fridge for tonight. Nice eh. Ok, so now while waiting for boys to get pancakes ready, i better go back to study. And yes, photos coming later. Finally get to eat at 130pm :p Lucky mummy. Yummy!
It's been seven years since I last posted in this blog. With the advancement of FB and Instagram, blogging seems so passe! And yet, when out of curiosity, I revisited this site recently, I found much joy in reading my own past blog. Trivial it may seems.. but definitely makes an interesting read for myself.. There's a lot of "really? " and "did I actually did this or felt his way? " So I think it's most appropriate to refresh this blog with my recent pursue. I had in the past two years learnt and still learning to meddle with my Canon EOS 760D. Though I definitely can't say that I have some great shots to boast about, but looking back at those previous photos taken before DSLR days, I think I've come a long way. One of my greatest joy is to be able to capture the Milky Way and showing it off without the needs of much PS treatment. The following photos were taken at Penyabong, a small village near Mersing, Johore. We had over ...
Partly inspired by Dom's banoffee's pie. Took a walk to the nearby RiverVale Mall to buy bananas and condensed milk after reading his blog.. But the bananas over there looks pretty much like those that Dom bought before going to NZ.. So it's a tub of chocolate ice cream instead. And straight off the tub.. thats the way the boys would eat it. Of course with popo exclaiming; "eating in the bedroom!!!!!!!!!!"
