My handsome boy

Image
Marion, if you see this, will u still want him? His fringe is so long, I have the urge to cut it. I am speechless and have no comments.....except that in my eyes, he is still cute and adorable.

Fish & Co

Ok, life for the past 2 weeks had been pretty busy and uneventful. No maid, in other word, no life. Got to do laundry, iron clothes, mop the floor, brewed my own coffee in the morning... the list went on. As u can see in the last 2 weeks entries, it's nothing but housework. But hey, my Myanmar's maid is here! Her name is Chuan Moi. Shorter than me! Was really fearful of language barrier, but it turns out to be quite ok. Just need to speak real slow. And she smiles a lot. I am really hoping this girl is going to work out well. Keeping my fingers cross. She don't know how to cook. So I pretty much still have to be the chef at home. But most important she must be willing to learn. I can give her time. So for celebration and to thank Daisy n family for catering dinner the past 2 weeks, we had dinner at Fish & Co in Singapore's favorite spot - Changi Airport. (yes Singaporeans love our airport. We even have a supermarket in the new T3!) Ok, back to our dinner...

Actually without a maid is good training for the boys. Look, even Wes learns to iron his own school uniform. Ee, he wants u to show Jared.

Facebook

The wonder of technology. Facebook. They said it reveal too much. But hey thanks to Facebook, I have recently catch up with old friends from a different era! And it's really different era! My days in the US seems to be of another lifetime. I found Edward Lee, my HongKong boy from San Antonio. This is the guy that came to our apartment at 3am, wanting us to go down to the carpark so that he can try out his new camera on our GTI. Yes, 3am. I think and I hope Ben still have the series of fotos that he took. I had it framed such that u first see some lights, than the next foto, the car coming in and then the tail lights. REally cool. Should have taken that from Ben when we split up. Hey, if you are reading this, is it too late to fight over it :-) Oh all the silly and outrageous stuff we did with Edward and Teong Yew and not forgetting Ah Wah. Swimming in the middle of the nite. And mind you, we are talking fall (Texas's winter) about 45degrees F! Then quite recently again,

I've just sent my good for nothing Dalima back to the agency. It really take tons of patience to keep her for 2 months. Kept telling myself, give her a chance. Afterall she is supposed to be an experience maid that had worked in HOngKOng and Taiwan. For how long, i really don't know. I had never thought of checking her passport; but she let out herself that she don't know why she always got sent back before term. Well I know why. She is one of my laziest maid ever! Slept till 8am or later; taking naps and always complaint about pains and aches. She is constantly "busy". So busy that we don't even dare to ask her to do any other things. She kept complaining that my house is too big. Hello, have she been in a 3 storey terrace house? I mean, everyone who knows me know that its only me and 2 grown boys and now my mum who is completely independent. She doesn't even need to cook lunch most of the time. And up to now, its me or my mum that cooked the

Must be the flight or the fright. Or was it cos I've been "switched off" for an entire month and just about get busy with back to back appointments. Not sure which, but I surly caught that flu bug this week. It was terrible. My nose was so red and skin around it was dry and peeling from the constant sneezing. Terrible headaches followed by a slight fever. The usual cycle, sneezing, feverish and sore throat. And amidst all these; no MC! That's the joy of working for yourself. It's that or seeing your business going elsewhere. So here I am, trudging thru the week. Friday's morning to Woodlands or an appt, to the workshop and then all the way to Bedok. Not clever logistics u may say, but hey really got no choice. Luckily I've promised Susan since last week that I am treating her to massage on Friday afternoon. An appointment that I cannot or rather tried not to break. Come on, it's her birthday treat and her birthday was last month. Any more procastinatio

Cessna SkyHawk

Image
Today I was given a joy ride on a Cessna Skyhawk. Pilot - my dear Bezner! Isn't that wonderful? I am lost for words to describe this heady experience. So here's some of the photos. I have more in the facebook. IN fact, I'm uploading the take off and the landing videos and will put it up when it's done. But for now, share my experience.... Bez should have more to say in his blog. The complicated cockpit....lol and yes, got to check the map. Actually we only did that after we land. Getting ready to go on board. Seems a bit small from the outside.
