CNY Oktoberfest Brunch @Jann's

It's kind of a celebration for our Nation's birthday (sounds like a real patriot!). But actually picked this date not because of that, but rather cos it's a long weekend. So busy partying, did not even watch the parade. More to the point, the 7 days Schweinshaxe finally ready for feasting. Wanted it to be special, so hence Oktoberfest. Wanted it to be crazy and kind of confusing, so the Chinese New Year's giddup.. Haahaha that really throws them off... Imagine being greeted with Gong Xi Fa Cai complete with angpows at this time of the year. .
Anyway, it's always great feasting n fun here.. any reasons to party, we are on.

2 super red, succulent strawberries and 1 orange. Cut it up and freeze it for an hour. Add aloe vera - super healthy! Add honey. Blend it and wala! Yummy delicious daiquiri is ready. Virgin thou. For those above 18 add a shot of rum and omit the honey And trust me, It's simply awesome! And what make this even more delicious is that it is prepared for me by my dear Bez! His special concoction, though i don't think he realise that it is quite like a daiquiri without the alcohol :-) I know I am bragging again, but really I think his future girlfriends will be very lucky cos he is cute, smart and he can cook! He plays the guitar too. But of course not forgetting he can be pretty boring, preferring to spend most of the time in front of the computer. And forgetful and not very organise. LOL

Halloween

I know it's still a long way... few more months but Bez already got me excited. He come up with this theme party for Halloween.. Musical Theme. U come dress as your favorite artiste... or anything that represents your favorite genre. He of course will be Slash. But sorry no budget for leather jacket. Any sponsor? Anyone can loan him one? Mummy is not ready to spend a fortune for a nite of fancy. Jared says he will be the Michael Jackson, the older version and Javon the young MJ. And it's unanimously agreed that Wesley be Rick Asley! Lol.... he loves to rick roll everyone. Daisy can be Dolly Parton. And myself, Dor suggested the 881 - the Papaya sister. LOL.. maybe Daisy can be Papaya sister with me... Let's drape ourselves with boa and trinklets. Alex's favorite is Engelbert Humperdick and Alvin says he will come as KISS - leather outfits, white face and lightning slash across. Qimei, Penghu, Nov 2017

This is my second visit to Qimei, one of the islands of Penghu. Rarely will I visit a place twice in a row (just been there last year); there's just so many places to visit and so little time and $$$ to do so.  So why Qimei? It's remote, with only one post office, one Seven Eleven, no shopping malls, one petrol station that only opens during the day and a long winding road that goes around the island. No traffic light, there's no need for one. But this is why I fall in love with Qimei!  Its unspoilt charm and beauty make it the perfect place to chill! Now Qimei is not always that quiet. During summer, this island is a popular lures for surfers.  November is quiet. Not much visitors, not even the locals.. except for a few crazy us.  Once again we checked into this little B&B Homestay called  鶵鳥藝文空間    I've attended a B&W Photography workshop here last year. But this year I am simply back to chill....
